Wedding Week Wednesday!

So, I am visiting my daughter; waiting for my grandson to be born. Her baby decides to kick her relentlessly each night starting around 11:00 p.m. We wonder if each night will be "it" or not.
I have established a ritual of habit: Put make-up on, gather magazines, camera, phone and camera chargers, my Bible, my coat, a bit to eat for Richard and me and my crocheting.
While waiting, my daughter and I have watched preparation plans for the Royal wedding each night since Sunday. I wish them well!
Most people enjoy the Fairytale. Though they lived together a couple of different times; I guess Royalty also is an artificial Fairytale.
It's funny that Kate's mum was chastised for chewing "gum" in "Public" at William's graduation LOL! But it is acceptable for William to bed her daughter outside of marriage "publically."
I don't understand why some people say: "well it's just a piece of paper our love doesn't need it." Well then, why have the wedding, keep loving without it if it is such a non-issue? Have your "love" children in the same manner you have been living. I guess society is slowly deluding and few seem to care. We just want Fairytales.
The Royal house said there will be no detail going wrong at this wedding. It was wrong before it started. DETAIL: Don't mock God!!! So much wasted extravagance. As for following "protocol", Congratulations "Royals!" Job well done in following your protocol. Remember Camilla? Great Fairytale that was!
Wedding of the century, certainly you will come near God with your mouths as you pronounce your vows under God. You will honor him with your lips, but your actions and hearts are far from him. You base your lives on merely human rules and expect the world to bow to your cuteness.
I will be attending a small, quaint wedding this summer. It will not be the "wedding of the century." The bride and groom are not 2 of the most popular people on "the planet" she is in her late twenties; he is thirty something. Guess what? They love God, fear God; and have not lived together, slept together. or are not having their country pick up the tab. I don't know their social status or their genealogy. He chews gum and she loves pickles and they do it in public! I sincerely can't wait to see
this wedding!

The Powers That Be- The Universe- Your Higher Power-ETC...Why is the name "GOD" so hard to humble out of your mouth?

The Bible says that Jesus will NOT know our names before His father in heaven unless we acknowledge His name.
So many people try to be politically correct by acknowledging some questionable higher power; "whatever you perceive it to be"  they say.
Is this not idolatry? Making a God who suits "our" needs?
Freedom of this and freedom of that has gone too far off in my opinion.
Our founding fathers based the roots of this country on the Bible.
WHO else died to save you? Who else rose from the dead? Who else lived a perfect life to become our way-shower? Since our country seems to forget the omniscience of God, we have been slipping in a downward spiral at a dangerous speed. I am not trying to proselytize, I am just stating facts. If people don't want eternal life; I guess they can choose to be the masters of their own selves. I am saddened that such a valuable gift is sometimes protested against because it isn't cool, or because we might have to be obedient to the name above all names, or perhaps we might have to quit being our own liberal god.
As Easter is approaching, and bunnies and tulips, and candy are all around us. I wish you a blessed day!
If Jesus did not rise from the dead, we would all be dead in ourselves. Alleluia He is Risen! Happy, Joyful, Blessed Easter to you and your families!

On My Porch!

So, Thursday afternoon about 1:30 p.m. I opened my front door to check my mail and to feed my cats.

There on my front lawn stood a beautiful young Mule Deer! I put my hand out and it came right towards me. I ran in the house to get my camera and he jumped from my fence into my neighbor's yard and then back again into my yard! He looked like he was flying he jumped so gracefully. What a site!

My front yard has officially entertained: a California Gold Bear, an Eagle, a Turtle, a Frog, a Garden Snake, a Mule Deer, a Hornet's nest, 7 Huge Raccoons, Skunks, Gophers, and dozens of Cats, Dogs, and Coyotes. A Mountain Lion even ate one of my cats! I only live on the Foothills of the mountains, imagine if I lived in the Mountains what I would see?

Windy Wednesday!



Well it is April 13th. Tax day is in 2 days to come!
We have been having absolutely gorgeous weather here in California!
Today was an exception however. It was overcast and windy. I decided to do some weeding in my yard.
Last year, I hung a little birdhouse directly in front of my bedroom window; where my cats like to look out.
NEVER! have I seen one bird come to get birdseed from that house. It was most disappointing. The little house was chuck full of the best birdseed I could find. Well...
... Sunday morning I awakened to a melodious choir of chirping birds. It was fantastic! I looked out the window and I saw finches and sparrows and blue birds, even some Crows! They were all eating the year old birdseed. I placed my cats on the windowsill and they were entertained by the birds for hours on end.
I think most of these birds are very young. Some of them even chirp through the night.
As I was on the side of my house; which I rarely visit, because there is just a hose, a crawlspace, and a fence; I saw one lone sunflower, and one ready to bloom! I looked next to this sunflower and I noticed a pile of birdseed. It appears that ; probably the wind we had a few weeks prior, or the fat crow knocked the little birdhouse around and some sunflower seeds fell on the dirt amidst some weeds. I never water there, but we have had some drizzly nights. This was such a very nice little spring surprise for me!
How MAGNIFICENT is our Lord! The simplicity and the deep yellow and green of a sunflower are perfectly created by Him.
It reminds me to plant seeds in my life. I don't need to know who sees them, who receives them, or when or how they bloom. We just know that seeds of kindness, love, grace, mercy, or knowledge are all planted to thank God, and to live in His spirit.
"The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear it's sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the SPIRIT!"  John 3:8
